Any domestic pets you may have (dogs, cats or ferrets) may enter France with you on condition that you have an accompanying document, established and signed by a veterinarian in the country of origin which you will be required to submit to the customs authorities. You must also be in possession of an up-to-date anti-rabies vaccination certificate for the animals and they must have identification (tattooing or microchip). For any other species, you will be able to obtain information from the ministry in charge of agriculture regarding sanitary conditions and exemption provisions authorized according to the breed of animal.
You are reminded that entry into France of certain species of guard dogs is strictly prohibited. Please find the list here
For public health reasons, entry into France of domestic carnivorous species aged under 3 months and not vaccinated against rabies is strictly prohibited.
