Abstract | Thermoplastic matrix composites are prime candidates for a more environmentally friendly and less polluting mobility. They meet part of the environmental requirements and the expected evolution of the transport sector, aimed at optimising the energy impact of vehicles. However, the complexity of these materials, such as their heterogeneity and microstructure variability induced by the transformation processes complicates the designing of reliable parts. The aim of this thesis is to investigate the microstructural mechanisms involved in fatigue and creep loading. It is a question of bringing the cyclic behaviour closer to that dependent on time. Both experimental (at different scales) and modelling exploration is proposed in this work. The objective is to make progress in understanding of the phenomena involved in order to set up a physically appropriate model for designing in an industrial setting. |
