Abstract | The PhD subject deals with a fundamental feature of cold rolling, with major industrial applications : modelling product-tool friction. The objective of the work is to model the mixed / boundary lubrication regime prevailing in cold strip rolling, including the impact of contact temperature on lubricant components behaviour and on the surface damage due to adhesive transfer (figure 1) |
Profile | Mechanics, Numerical modeling, Python language.
A first experience, theoretical or practical, in tribology and/or thermal transfer will be appreciated. A motivation for experiments is necessary. Rigor, dedication to a subject, aptitude to teamworking are important Mastering of the English language is necessary (level B2 minimum) to apply : send a mail to imene.lahouij@minesparis.psl.eu |
