Winner of Desert Energy Best Paper Award 2013

 

Yehia Eissa, PhD at O.I.E., MINES ParisTech - Centre Observation, Impacts, Energy, won the Desert Energy Best Paper Award 2013, granted by the German company, Dii GmbH, for his article: "Artificial Neural Network Based Model for Retrieval of the Direct Normal, Diffuse Horizontal and Global Horizontal Irradiances Using SEVIRI Images".

His thesis on "Modelling the distribution of radiances in the sky vault under clear-sky conditions for an accurate assessment of the beam and circumsolar radiation", managed by Lucien Wald and Philippe Blanc, research academics at O.I.E., is realized in association with the  Masdar Institute of Science and Technology (MIST - Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates).
